What's the name of the ceramic cylinder that downlight bulb plugs into?

I've just bought a new transformer for a downlight in my bathroom, but this didn't come with the small ceramic connection cylinder which the bulb plugs in to. I need to order this part but can't find it online as I don't know the proper name for it. Please help.

What's the name of the ceramic cylinder that downlight bulb plugs into?
Usually its a prewired lampholder for MR16 halogen lamp ....look on sites that sell lamps etc they will list all sorts of components %26amp; maybe then you can nip to your local electrical wholsalers
Reply:the round solid bit is called a ceiling rose ..and the bit that hangs down on a cable is a pendant
Reply:try ceramic lamp holder
Reply:Bulb Holder.

Reply:they sell them in b and q around 7 pound each .. or maplins sell them too
