What is the name of the tool needed to take a flat tire off my car?

And where can I get one? How much do they cost? Do tire shops loan them out?

Called a Lug Wrench, yes they sell em, and if you were near me Id loan you mine , at pep boys, auto zone kragen, any good auto parts store, Napa and so on.........................
Reply:lug wrench, you can get them at any auto parts store, they don't cost much unless you want a chrome one....tire shops generally don't loan them out..
Reply:You need a wheel brace and Im sure one of your neighbours would have one
Reply:It looks like Leo has all the right answers, but to repeat the one part...check in your trunk. Check where the tire is and check on the sides of the inside of the trunk for what looks like it could be a "secret" compartment. In there should be the jack and a lug wrench. If not, they're not expensive.
Reply:Hello there, first of all please look in your trunk for tools to remove your flat tire off your car. The tools should be with the spare tire.

Failing that you'll have to purchase a cross brace wrench, which will have four different sizes. Please note that for your own safety when raising a vehicle to change a flat tire, you must block or use safety stands under the vehicle. This is task you must have someone to show you how to do it. (that's if you're not sure) One more thing after changing the tire the wheel must be re-torqued after a say 100 kilometre run. Okay. Far as the tire shop loaning them out it's not a general practise for safety reasons of-course. Thanks.
Reply:it's much easier to join the automobile association.

when you have a flat you just call them and they send the guy to change it for you.
